SBU says they did not detain Haiduk, journalist from Zaporizhzhya, and did not declare him suspect

25.12.2014, 15:11

The Security Service of Ukraine did not detain the editor-in-chief of the website «Dzerkalo Zaporizhzhya» Oleksander Haiduk, who was kidnapped from his apartment by people wearing camouflage on December 10. This is an official response of the vice-head of the SBU Chief Investigation Department B.Tyvodar to IMI's request.
As IMI informed earlier, on December 10 Oleksander Haiduk was kidnapped by unidentified people wearing camouflage. Later, after being released, he said that the kidnappers were local “Self-Defense”, and that they brought him to SBU, where SBU officers “had a conversation” with him about separatism.
