In the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast, the Russians have established a branch of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation, reports the press office of the National Resistance Center.

"This is a fake journalistic association, which the enemy needs to coordinate propagandists and create the illusion that there are local media in the TOT. The Zaporizhzhia branch is chaired by a Russian citizen, Sergei Korabelnikov from Omsk," the NRC said.

They added that since the start of the occupation, the Russians have created a network of "new media outlets" in the occupied territories. Those are coordinated by the Russians, and most of the personnel were also brought from Russia.

Collaborators with no relevant experience became the frontpeople of these media groups, and the Russian Alexander Malkevich, a person close to Yevgeny Prigozhin, coordinates the propagandists. It is he who controls the propaganda TV channels "Tavria", "Mariupol 24", and "Za Media".

As reported by IMI, Yuliya Vachenkova, the former host of TV "Berdyansk" who has been cooperating with the Russian occupiers since June 2022 and filming propaganda reports, is working to incite religion-based enmity.
