Russian special services intimidate Ukrainians abroad – DI
Ukrainians in various countries abroad have been receiving text messages with an appeal to help Moscow expel "American Satanists" from "historically Russian land," reports the DI press office.
"The messages are written in the style of Lubyanka linguists: clichés about the need to 'revive Kievan Rus' together to spite our enemies' alternate with phrases such as 'protect yourself and your loved ones' or 'save people's lives' – Kremlin propaganda and a threat combined in one sentence," the DI writes.
The DI also notes that the text messages close with the Russian special services signature: "From Russia with love."
Defense Intelligence explains that the purpose of this latest information attack by Moscow on Ukrainians is to intimidate, demoralize and saw discord among people.
"At the same time, the use of similar methods indicates that the Chekists tasked by the Kremlin with influencing Ukrainians informationally and psychologically are going through a genre crisis," the DI press office writes.
