Russian shelling destroys "Debut Gazeta" office in Kherson
On January 17, Russian shelling completely destroyed the office of "Debut Gazeta". It was located in the building of a printing house, which was hit by a shell. The newspaper reported this on Facebook.
According to the editorial team, the shelling damaged the workplace of editor-in-chief Victoria Novytska.
"The most valuable things left there included the books donated to our editorial team by authors. Our publication has been out of print since the first day of the invasion, and it is unlikely that it will be renewed even after the war," the editors noted and added that no one was injured by the shelling.
The publication reminded that the editorial team had long evacuated from Kherson, and the only people remaining were the security guards of the printing house which "Debut Gazeta" shared a building with.
"During the occupation, the Russians stole the computers from the office, destroyed the servers, and used the paper for their propaganda. This did not help them keep their hold on the Ukrainian Kherson, and this terror will not help them either," the publication notes.
