Russian special services, using a forged letter, tried to organize a bogus interview of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to an American newspaper, The New York Times. This was reported by the President's press secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko on April 12 on his Facebook page.
“They filed a forged form with telephone numbers and e-mails of their agents, conducted negotiations, and even gave some "answers" to the interview questions by phone”, Tseholko wrote. He also thanked the journalists for verifying the authenticity of the record with the real press service, and the fake interview was never published in The New York Times.
