Russian Commission for Supervision blocked Crimean media outlet for the first time

04.10.2015, 16:29

The Russian Commission for Supervision ("Roskomnadzor") informed the editorial office of the independent portal «Sobytiya Kryma» ("Crimean Events", on restriction of access to the website from the territory of the Russian Federation. The Russian agency considers information of the news website "containing appeals for mass disorders, extremist activities, and participation in public actions conducted with violations of established procedure".

The media outlet noted that this is a precedent decision for using sanctions against a Crimean online media.
