Russian channel LifeNews confirmed that their journalists were detained near Kramatorsk

19.05.2014, 13:52

In the evening of May 18, the Russian TV channel LifeNews confirmed that near Kramatorsk (Donetska oblast) the Ukrainian anti-terrorist troops detained its journalists.
According to LifeNews, the detained crew consists of the correspondent Oleg Sydiakin and cameraman Marat Saychenko.
On May 18, near the airfield in Kramatorsk, during the special operation the Ukrainian troops neutralized and partly detained a group of separatist fighters. Two of them introduced themselves as LifeNews journalists. They had a videocamera and were taking live footage of separatist troops' operations.
According to «Radio Svoboda», the Russian channel LifeNews is notorious for gross misrepresentation of events and broadcasting false anti-Ukrainian “news”, and also for providing informational support to the separatists in the East of Ukraine.
