Russia stole 503 Ukrainian TV and radio frequencies in Crimea and Sevastopol. This was reported at press conference by member of the National Council of Ukraine for TV and Radio Broadcasting Serhiy Kostynskyi, UNN reports. "Russian Federation in fact, stole and appropriated 503 radio frequencies that were used by Ukrainian channels and radio stations based in the relevant licenses", Kostynskyi reported. The right for analogue broadcasting was lost by 31 TV and radio company of Ukraine (292 frequencies), the right for digital broadcasting – by 28 TV and radio companies (72 frequencies), the right for over-the-air broadcasting – by 39 TV and radio companies (139 frequencies). The frequencies of radio broadcasting are used by 20 licensees of Roskomnadzor. TV broadcasting 22 licensees. It was pointed out that these licensees are not separate radio stations and TV channels, but, rather, media holdings and companies.
