russia's crimes against 147 media representatives are being investigated in Ukraine – Prosecutor General's Office

The Prosecutor General and the Prosecutor's Office are providing procedural guidance in the criminal proceedings related to the crimes committed by the russian federation against 147 media representatives. 28 of them are foreign citizens.

This was announced by the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the PGO, during the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, 32 media representatives have been killed and 16 others were injured.

Representatives of Ukrainian, American, British, Czech, Danish, Irish, Lithuanian, Swiss, and French media, as well as journalists from the UAE have suffered.

"Those who suffered most were in Kyiv and Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions," the statement reads.

The russian armed forces have fired on nine TV towers and TV and radio companies.

It will be recalled that according to IMI, 32 media workers were killed in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale russian invasion, eight of them being killed while carrying out their journalistic duites.
