Russia questions Loiko about his books

The Investigation Committee of Russia questioned the journalist Serhiy Loiko due to the exhibition "Priamyi pohliad" showing the war in Donbas region. Radio Liberty reports, referring to "Otkrytaya Rosiya". The organization represents the interests of journalist.

The deputy of Yakimanka district, Dmytro Zakharov wrote statement against Loiko, where Zakharov says about breaking Article 282 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Incitement of hatred or enmity"). The investigators are verifying pre-investigation check. By the results, investigators investigators decide whether to open a criminal case.

Serhiy Loiko considers this questioning by at the the Investigative Committee as the part of politically motivated campaign. He told Radio Liberty that the summons to appear for questioning came a few days after the writer Zakhar Prilepin and journalist Anton Krasovsky criticized his book "Airport", about the war at the eastern Ukraine.
