Russia destroyed or seized 10 Hromadske Radio transmitters during the full-scale invasion
Russia has destroyed or seized 10 Hromadske Radio transmitters since the start of the full-scale invasion, Hromadske Radio chief editor Viktoria Yermolayeva told the Institute of Mass Information in an interview.
Yermolayeva says all of these transmitters are located right on the front line or in the territories already occupied. These are Zorynivka, Lysychansk, Volnovakha, Mariupol, Bilolutsk, Hirnyk, Bilovodsk, Starobilsk, Bakhmutovka, and Pokrovsk.
“The loss of these transmitters is not just a loss of money, but a loss of dialogue with the audience. We understand the difficult situation of the people living in Russia's media space,” Viktoria noted.
She stressed that Hromadske Radio “does not do panic-mongering, but does not present information hopefully where there is no hope, either.” “That is, the reporting is balanced: both our presenters and our experts give balanced points of view. Also, part of our content is information that sometimes saves lives. We know there have been such cases. This is invaluable,” the chief editor remarked.
As reported earlier, Hromadske Radio is now available in the temporarily occupied territories with the Android browser Ceno, which does not require a VPN.
