17.01.2025, 18:01

The Russian Ministry of Justice has declared Iryna Romaliyska, Ukrainian journalist and Nastoyaschee Vremya presenter, a “foreign agent”, reports Nastoyaschee Vremya.

In a comment to the Institute of Mass Information representative Valentina Troyan, Iryna Romaliyska said that she did not care what lists Russia puts her on.

“It is even funny. But this means that Current Time TV is working well and that our team is doing everything right. This means that we have great programs and special reports,” Iryna said.

She added that she last traveled to Russia around 2016. At that time, she reported on the trials of Ukrainian political prisoners in Chechnya and the Rostov region. Later, she traveled to occupied Crimea to report on the trials of Crimean Tatars.

“I emphasize once again that this status, like any other in Russia, does not matter to me. Today I learned that my friend died in the war. This is what really matters: that Ukrainians keep dying, that Russia continues the war,” stressed Iryna Romaliyska.

Iryna Romaliyska is a Ukrainian journalist, Nastoyaschee Vremya presenter. She has worked with a number of Ukrainian media outlets such as Hromadske, Hromadske radio, Censor.Net.

In December 2023, Iryna Romaliyska received an anonymous text message in Signal wishing Ukrainians “more nightly Shaheds and missile strikes on electrical substations” in the coming year.
