Roskomnadzor blocks the website of Ekho Moskvy team's new media project
At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, Roskomnadzor has blocked the website of Ekho – a new media project recently launched by former employees of Ekho Moskvy. This is evidenced by a service for checking the blocks on pages and websites, Mediazona writes.
The website, launched on the evening of October 2, was blocked on the basis of Article 15.3 of the Law "On Information," which regulates the procedure for restricting access to information with calls for disorder, extremism, or participation in unauthorized rallies.
According to GlobalCheck, all operators have already blocked Ekho websites.
As IMI reported, in March, a pig's head in a wig was thrown under the door of Alexei Venediktov, former editor-in-chief of the Ekho Moskvy radio station.
At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, Roskomnadzor blocked access to the website of Ekho Moskvy. After that, the radio station's board of directors decided to liquidate the radio and the website. Ekho Moskvy decided to disable the website and delete all corporate social media accounts.
