Ivan Zuev, employee of the Russian state-affiliated media outlet RIA Novosti, has been killed in a drone strike in the Russian-occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast, RIA Novosti reports on Telegram.
According to RIA Novosti, Zuev was killed by a Ukrainian drone. The propagandists added that Zuev had been personally commended by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He had illegally made repeated trips to the parts of Ukrainie occupied by Russia.

RIA Novosti shared an outline of Zuev’s biography.
He first traveled to the Ukrainian territories under Russian occupation in July 2014. He also visited Mariupol, Volnovakha, and Sartana.
RIA Novosti added that another one of their employees, Yuriy Voitkevich, who also made repeated travels to the frontline, had been wounded.
On 2 July, the Russian propaganda outlet RIA Novosti reported the death of Rostislav Zhuravlev, specifying that Zhuravlev had fought in the ranks of the Russian army in Donetsk oblast in 2014.
In May 2024, VGTRK cameraman Oleksandr Pushyn, was wounded in Vovchansk (Kharkiv oblast).
In November 2023, he Russian propagandist, so-called war correspondent for “Rossiya 24”, Boris Maksudov, died on the way to the hospital after coming under fire in Zaporizhzhia oblast, where he had arrived illegally.
