Restrictions on import of books from Russia may affect historical literature - State Committee
First Deputy Head of the State Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine Bogdan Chervak predicts that the restriction on import of books from Russia, will have the greatest impact on the historical literature. He said this in the air of program "Detali" (Details) on Radio Liberty.
"Russia through the historical literature has been trying to sell the idea of "Ruskiy mir" (Russian world) in Ukraine. this selling is possible because of historical memory, through the interpretation of historical events, and relations between Ukrainians and Russians,"- he said.
However, Chervak denies that this is a censorship. "This is not a censorship, but efforts of Ukrainian state to confront Russian information war waged against Ukraine," - he said.
