"Reporters without borders" appeal to Ukrainian prosecutors requesting them to return to Guseinov his passport

International Advocacy Organization “Reporters without borders” (RSF) appeals to Ukrainian prosecutors to comply with the court's resolution, and to return to Fikret Guseinli, journalist from Netherlands of Azerbaijan origin, his passport, and to enable him to return to Netherlands. This was stated in the organization's release as of April 6. “Ukrainian Prosecutor's office must immediately implement the resolution of the court, to return to Fikret Guseinli his passport, and to allow him to go home, to the Netherlands”, said Johann Bihr, head of RSF office in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. “Continuing the persecution of the journalist of Ukraine will be proof of active complicity with Azerbaijan”, Bihr said. As IMI reported before, on April 5, the Committee for Protection of Journalists (CPJ) appealed to Ukrainian prosecutors to return the passport to the citizen of Netherlands of Azerbaijan origin, Fikrat Guseinov, and to implement the court resolution that the journalist must not be extradited to Azerbaijan, and his movement must not be limited.
