Radio Liberty journalist was not allowed to attend first session of Anti-Corruption Agency’s Tender Committee

12.06.2015, 15:45

The journalist of the corruption investigations program «Skhemy» (Shemes, the joint project of Radio Liberty and «First National Channel») Anastasia Ivantsova was not allowed to attend the first session of the Anti-Corruption Agency’s Tender Committee, reports Radio Liberty.

The official reason she was denied entrance to the “open” session was absence of accreditation to the Cabinet of Ministers, where the session was held. All attempts of negotiations with the government’s press service failed.

Ivantsova believes this may be connected to the recent scandal around the Anti-Corruption Agency, as it was accused of selecting public representatives to the Tender Committee from its pocket NGOs.
