Rabinovich claims about attempts to seize his TV-station JN1

18.03.2013, 02:45
Businessman Vadim Rabinovich says the explosion near his car in Kyiv was an attempt of intimidation by the ruling government in order to take possession of his TV-station – the First Jewish international channel JN 1. He said this at a press conference in Kyiv on March 6, Ukrainian News reported.

"Member of the Ukrainian parliament Andriy Derkach, who is also an assistant of Prime Minister (Mykola Azarov) arrived to me ... and he said to me: "We are forming a single media-bloc, we do not need money, you should understand correctly – transfer JN1 channel to us. If you do not, you will be in big trouble, "- said Rabinovich.

He also noted that on January 18 he addressed the Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka with a statement on this matter.

In addition, Rabinovich said that Derkach allegedly told him that it was not his own initiative to come. "He told me: you know perfectly who is behind me. With whom I work. So don’t talk in vain - the decision was made "from above". During the week, you must give your channel, or there will be a big problem, "- said the businessman.

In turn, MP from the Party of Regions Andriy Derkach, in comments to "Interfax-Ukraine", announced that the charges of Vadim Rabinovich are a lie and a provocation, for which he will have to answer in court.
