The TV channel Pryamyy informed that its TV crew was not allowed to attend the press conference of the candidate for the presidency and leader of Batkivshchyna block Yuliya Tymoshenko, as to
the web-site of Pryamyy.
As Olga Shylkina, correspondent for the Pryamyy TV channel, at first they were denied to be accredited to the press conference, and then they could not get in, as the journalists were not cited in the lists of accredited persons.
“They let in only the mass media outlets which are loyal to this political force and this candidate for the presidency. Such a situation recalls the rule of Viktor Yanukovych when to some events they allowed only “needful”, loyal TV channels. The TV channels that are not agree with the policy and all statements made by the candidate for the presidency, namely the politician and the MP Yulia Tymoshenko (...). Thus, we observe it, we cannot get in”. The press officers failed to give any clear explanation on this issue.
