Pryamiy TV host Andriy Solomka enlists in the UAF
Pryamiy TV host Andriy Solomka voluntarily enlisted in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He announced this on air on April 11.
"Friends, I am joining the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It's my decision, it's what I've been preparing for and what I'm obviously ready for. I want to say a huge thank you to the entire Pryamiy team. It was a great honor to work with you, and, of course, we continue to work, because I am not leaving anywhere. As soon as we drive out the orcs, we will immediately resume our air time with the same people as today," he said.
The journalist thanked his colleagues who keep the channel on air despite the difficult times.
"I am incredibly grateful to the whole team, because this is the team that responded to all the challenges that the Pryamiy is currently facing, despite Russia's full-scale invasion into Ukraine's territory. This is the team that ensures Pryamiy's operation and thanks to whom you can join us every day and watch our programming," added the Pryamiy host.
He also addressed the audience and did called on them "not to lose the light in their hearts" and donate to the Armed Forces.
On March 21, 2024, Channel 24 host Artem Ovdienko announced that he had completed his work at the channel and volunteered to join the army.
