Prosecutors get court warrant to investigate mobile calls of Kremlin propagandist Graham Phillips

Chief Military Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine received permission from the court to study all mobile telephone conversations of the Kremlin propagandist Graham Phillips. The relevant decision of the Pechersk court published in the unified state register of the court decisions, 112.ua reports.

The court established that during his stay on the territory of Ukraine, including the ATO, Phillips used mobile phone with terminal for two SIM cards of the operator of PrJSC “MTS Ukraine” mobile communications. Phillips spoke with representatives of "DNR" & "LNR" terrorist organizations about the coverage of their activities, he received information from them about filming stories with interrogations of Ukrainian POWs.

the investigation filed petition in order to establish the persons who spoke with Phillips. Thus, the investigator of the Chief military Prosecutor’s office gained access to the data of Phillips' telephone calls for the period 1 April 2014 to 31 January 2017.

It is emphasized that the obtained data will be significant for establishing important circumstances in the criminal proceedings against the aforementioned terrorist organizations, including determination of the persons who gave the orders for special operations, administer plan and direct its performance.

As you know, the British Pro-Russian journalist Graham Phillips cooperating with the propaganda channels "Russia Today" and “Star”.

In July 2014, the security Service of Ukraine detained Phillips and made the decision on his deportation from Ukraine and entry ban for three years.

As reported, Phillips made a loud provocation during exchange of prisoners between the Ukrainian security forces and militants of Donbass. Immediately after that, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Great Britain Natalia Halybarenko appealed to the British authorities with a request to take certain measures in order to stop the activities of a journalist Graham Phillipsin Ukraine. However, the UK said that this case is responsobility of the Ukrainian authorities.
