Prosecutor sues Dnytro Hnap, "Slidstvo.Info", Hromadske TV and Channel UA:First

The prosecutor Oleksander Korniyets filed a court claim against the anchor and journalist Dmytro Hnap and the program “Slidstvo.Info” for the material “Diamonds in Dirt”, and also against the mass media that were broadcasting this material: Hromadske TV and UA:First. “Detector Media” reports this, with reference to the Facebook post by the journalist Serhiy Hrishyn.

The notorious “diamond prosecutor" (the nickname refers to the widely covered case of allegedly corrupted prosecutors, in whose office a large quantity of diamonds was found during a search) Korniets now demands from the defendants to refute the materials and to cover his court expenses. Dmytro Hnap in his comment mentioned that he did not yet receive any official confirmation of the claim against him.

The court process on the case of the "diamond prosecutors" will start considering the essence of the case on April 21.
