Poroshenko introduced sanctions against several Russian media outlets

The President of Ukraine Petro Proshenko with his decree as of May 15 put in force the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine “On Imposition of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)” as of April 28, which provide for economic sanctions against several Russian media outlets.

In particular, the list includes “TV Centr”, RosBusinessConsulting (RBC), the All-Russian State TV and Radio Company (VGTRK), NTV, “Zvezda”, TNT, KT Moskva, “Russia Today”, Ren TV.

The sanctions encompass blocking of the assets; suspension of economic and financial obligations; limitation or termination of provision of telecommunication services and use of public telecommunication networks.

The sanctions against these companies are set for three years.

As ІМІ reported,  on May 15 the President of Ukraine Petro Proshenko with his decree put in force the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine “On Imposition of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)”, which envisages blocking of access to the Russian social networks “VKontakte” and “Ondokalssniki”, as well as to the online services of “Yandex” and Mail.ru.
