Poltava: accused insult journalists at the court

02.03.2017, 14:25

Members of the group accused of extorting money from businessmen, insulted a journalist of "Poltavshchyna" outlet Mykola Lysohor and blogger Ihor Havrylenko during the trial in the Oktiabrsk District Court. This is stated in the plot of the HromadskeTV Poltava.

Thus, on February 28, accused negatively responded to journalists who cover this topic during a regular meeting of the court.

Prior to the trial, the defendants have paid attention to the journalists who were present at the last hearing. The defendants didn't like journalistic materials about the course of court hearings, since none of them doesn't consider himself to be guilty. Defendants began to show aggression against journalists and openly insult them. The record of the conversations is present on the video.

The blogger Ihor Havrylenko said that there were more threats during the last meeting. Mostly it were young men who were shouting threats, also they support the accused.
Some of the defendants claimed that the journalists are paid and work in cooperation with police.

The suspects and their attorneys, according to the HromadskeTV Poltava, were openly against the filming, they say, as it is not a public issue. They also reacted negatively in cases when they had been caught by camera. The group was detained last summer. 5 men suspected of organized extortion money from businessmen.
