Police searched offices of representatives of Russian TV channels. They are suspected of funding of terrorists

On October 24, the Chief Bureau of Investigations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine as a part of investigation searched the offices of three entities that represent Russian TV channels in Ukraine: OJSC «Association of Russian TV channels», which representes the Pervy Kanal (RF) on the territory of Ukraine; OJSC «Torsat», which exclusively owns and manages the rights for broadcasting of Russian TV channels on the territory of Ukraine; OJSC «Sattelecom», which provides technical services for transmission of satellite signal of Russian TV channels on the territory of Ukraine.

The investigation is of the actions that intend to topple the constitutional order or to seize the state power (part 4 Article 110-2, the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In violation of the decision of the Regional administrative court of Kyiv, these entities have been continuing transmission of the Russian TV channels on the territory of Ukraine.

They also provide informational coverage of activities of the terrorist groups on the territory of Ukraine. Moreover, these companies direcnt the funds they receive for sale of advertising time to financing of terrorist groups on the territory of Ukraine.

Based on the court decision, the companies’ accounts have been arrested.
