Police opened two cases in regard to traffic accident, in which LB.ua photo reporter’s family sustained injuries

In regard to the traffic accident, in which the family of Maks Levin, LB.ua photo reporter, sustained grave injuries, police opened two criminal cases; one under under part 1 Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules or rules of vehicle sue by a person driving a vehicle) and the other, under Article 342 (Resistance to representative of authorities, to officer of law enforcement agency, to member of civil body for protection of civil order or to military) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the Chief Department of the National Police in Kyivska oblast.

According to the police, on July 3 at 7.15 p.m., on the Zabirya-Boyarka, the driver of Audi Q7 crossed into the oncoming lane, where had a front collision with a Dacia. Three of Dacia’s passengers, of whom two are small children, were taken to hospital. The originator of the traffic accident, a 49-y.o. resident of Kyiv, escaped from the medical institution during the examination for the level of alcohol.

The driver of Dacia was Levin, LB.ua photo reporter, and his wife and two of his sons were taken to hospital due to the sustained injuries. None of the drivers were injured.

The police is looking for the escaped driver.
