Police opened a case due to threats to editor in chief of "Vezha"

On July 12, the investigators of the Vinnytsya police department started a criminal investigation into the threats to the editor-in-chief of the Vinnytsia Internet edition "Vezha". This is reported on the website of the National police in Vinnytsia region.
"The journalist applied to the police department claiming he got threats from certain individuals, which he related to his professional activities. Based on this fact, the case was registered on the grounds of Art. 345 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Threat or violence against the journalist"), the police informed.
IMI informed, on July 11, the editor-in-chief of the Vinnytsia news portal "Vezha" Andriy Kachor said that supporters of the pro-Russian video blogger Anatoly Shariy threatened him and his family.
As to him, this was due to the publication on July 8 on “Vezha” of the news about the burning of unknown local activists of the campaign materials of the party of Shariy.
