Police found official, who collided with photo reporter Levin

Police officers identified the location of a Ukrzaliznytsia official Ivan Fedorko, the originator of the traffic accident with the LB.ua photo reporter. This was reported on the website of the Chief Department of the National Police in Kyivska oblast.

Currently, he is staying in the intensive care unit of one of the capital’s hospitals, he is under guard.

As IMI has reported earlier, on July 3 in the evening the LB.ua photo reporter Maks Levin got into a traffic accident on the на Boyarka-Zabirya road (Kyivska oblast). The collision happened as a result of a car Audi Q7 (plates АА 7100 РР) steering into the oncoming lane, driven by a drunken driver. The originator of the traffic accident fled.

In regard to the traffic accident, in which the family of Maks Levin, LB.ua photo reporter, sustained grave injuries, police opened two criminal cases; one under part 1 Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules or rules of vehicle sue by a person driving a vehicle) and the other, under Article 342 (Resistance to representative of authorities, to officer of law enforcement agency, to member of civil body for protection of civil order or to military) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.  

The drunk driver, who had a front collision with the car of the LB.ua photo reporter, turned out to be the head of the cargo traffic department of “Ukrzaliznytsia” Ivan Fedorko.  

On July 4, the head of the board of the Public Company “Ukrzaliznytsia” Wojciech Balczun suspended Ivan Fedorko, the director of the cargo traffic and logistics department.
