Photographer Valentyn Kuzan joins the army
Photographer Valentyn Kuzan announced that he has enlisted into to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"No matter how many pictures I took at the front line, the lighting was always crap. I thought, why not get closer and take a picture in the regular mode. Or else the war will end before I take any decent portraits of our soldiers," he said in his Facebook post.
According to Kuzan, he joined the Mechanized Brigade No. 72 press office and hopes to become a photo correspondent.
"...I'll be able to do what I always did. Well, I'll learn to dig, of course. And they promised to show me how to hold a gun. I never liked hierarchy (unless I'm at its top, which is a fuss), weapons, holding the line, but what can you do, if the enemy is coming at you and if you don't resist them, then we've already seen that they do to our people," the soldier added.
