Over 3,000 print media came out in Ukraine during last six months - State committee for television and radio broadcasting

In the first half of 2019, there were 3,143 printed press editions which were coming out in Ukraine, with cumulative circulation of 607.2 million copies, as to website of the State Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine (Statecomtelradio), referring to the statistics of the Book Chamber of Ukraine named after Ivan Fedorov. Among them - 1,371 newspapers and 1,772 other periodicals and continuing publications, the report says. The largest number of editions was published in the city of Kyiv (1174) and regions of Kharkiv (268), Dnipropetrovsk (180), Lviv (173) and Odesa (124). The vast majority of print media outlets were published in Ukrainian - 1321, in Ukrainian and in Russian languages - 533, in Russian - 497, in English - 67. However, according to the Book Chamber, the cumulative circulation of publications in Russian (267  167, 4 thousand copies) exceeds the cumulative circulation of print media in Ukrainian (208   927,6 thousand copies).
