Originator of traffic accident was handed suspicion and had his blood tested for alcohol content

06.07.2016, 12:16

As a result of pressure from the journalists, the head of the cargo traffic department of “Ukrzaliznytsia” Ivan Fedorko, who collided with the car of the photo reporter Maks Levin, was handed an official suspicion in committing a criminal offence under part 1 Article 286, reports.

Also, the police officers managed to get his blood samples to test for the alcohol content.

Also, as the chief physician of the hospital, where Fedorko is staying, noted, his hospital chart mentioned the ‘specific smell under his breath.’

Earlier, the police officers failed to take Fedorko’s blood for testing for alcohol content due to interference from the hospital staff. They received a paper from the doctors stating that they could not conduct the investigation because ‘Fedorko is suffering from gout, a hypertensive crisis, and contusion to soft tissue of his left hand.’
