On February 24, discussion "Best practices of mass media self-regulation in Ukraine and in the world"
On February 24, an online discussion “Best practices of mass media self-regulation in Ukraine and in the world” organized by the Center for Democracy and the Rule of Law and the Independent Media Council.
Students and teachers of the faculties of journalism and law are invited to take part in.
Issues to be discussed during the event:
-Ukrainian and international experience of self-regulation;
-how self-regulatory bodies work;
-how self-regulation helps mass media to remain independent, adhere to high journalistic standards, and how it works in the context of content moderation.
The experts will also consider several practical cases dealing with violations of journalistic standards and information legislation by the Ukrainian media that had been considered by the Independent Media Council.

-Pavlo Moiseev, media expert, secretary of the Independent Media Council;
-Lyudmila Pankratova, Executive Director of the Institute for Regional Press Development, Member of the Independent Media Council.
