On border with annexed Crimea, "Right Sector" detained Russian NTV’s filming crew

25.09.2015, 23:36

In the evening of September 24, soldiers of “Right sectors” detained the filming crew of the Russian TV channel NTV on the border with the occupied Crimea. As the "Right sector" website claims the Russian journalist was handed over to the Ukrainian authorities (it is assumed but unconfirmed that one of the crew members escaped). The Russian channel NTV claims that the detained journalist Katerina Voronina was recording the story on the blockade of Crimea and was on the Ukrainian territory legally. NTV also claims that the detained was interrogated for three hours, her personal belongings searched, some video files deleted, and after that she was transferred to the SBU where they interrogated her for another six hours, releasing in the morning. According to the channel, the journalists await for her flight to Moscow.
