Occupiers start broadcasting Russian satellite TV in Luhansk oblast
Russian occupiers started broadcasting Russian satellite TV in Luhansk oblast.
The fake entity known as the "Ministry of Mass Communications of the LNR" announced this on its Telegram channel.
The post states that this is part of the "Russky Mir" television project.
The Russians started actively seizing the media space of the occupied oblasts right after annexing them. As IMI reported, the Russian propagandist All-Russian State Television and Radio Company is going to open branches in the occupied territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.
At the same time, they are disabling mobile connection in the occupied territories so as to prevent the people there from keeping touch with those who live in the un-occupied parts of the country. As "Telegazeta" editor-in-chief Dmytro Shenhur told IMI, ordinary people in the occupied Luhansk oblast have almost no access to the Internet.
