Newspaper "Litsa" continues to function in spite of arrest of its property

Dnipropetrosk newspaper "Litsa" ("Faces") was published with a delay of one day, as it had to transfer its editorial office to a different legal entity.

Before, the account and property of the newspaper were arrested by the judgment of the Supreme Economic Court. This was a result of several years of corporation ATB's suing the newspaper for damages, allegedly caused by newspaper publications.

The editor of the newspaper Olena Harahuts learned about the arrest on January 30, when the editorial office could not pay for printing services. She claims that  this arrest is an effort to shut down the newspaper. Now, the newspaper is taking measures for filing appeal for cancellation of the court judgment on arrest of newspaper property.
