NewsOne started news block in Russian

Since April 29th, the NewsOne TV channel is going to start airing news blocks in Russian on 5 p.m. and 11.p.m., as to the web-site of the NewsOne. The long-expected news blocks in Russian language will be started on request of numerous public demands of TV viewers. IMI informed, 0n October 13th 2017 the law “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine relative to language of audiovisual (digital) mass media” which defined fixed language quotas on television. Since October 13th 2018, the obligatory part of Ukrainian-language part is 75% on national TV channels. The local television channels have to broadcast not less than 60% of its airing time in Ukrainian language.
