Near Donetsk, two journalists from weekly «Krymsky Telegraf» have gone missing

27.08.2014, 00:26

On August 25, near Donetsk two journalists from the weekly «Krymsky Telegraf» Yevhenia Koroliova and Maksym Vasylenko went missing. This was reported on the media outlet’s website.

The weekly claims that the journalists were going home on a bus but were forced to leave the bus by representatives of the «Right Sector». According to the weekly, Koroliova was allowed to make a phone call but she sounded like she was near the people who were controlling her, so she failed to inform at what checkpoint this was happening. She confirmed that they were detained not just as regular citizens with Crimean registration but as journalists. She mentioned Dnipropetrovsk but it was not clear whether the bus was approaching it or leaving. Since then, there has been no contact with either of them.
