NCRU resumes its broadcasting
12.02.2013, 00:33
The National Radio Company of Ukraine received from the Concern for Communication, Broadcasting and Television the information about recovery of broadcasting on three channels - the First, "Promin" and "Culture," according to the NCRU website.
The respective steps were taken in accordance with the instructions of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, who ordered the Ministry of Finance to increase spending on TV and radio programs produced for public use.
As IMI reported earlier, on February 5, at the request of NRCU, the Concern for Communication, Broadcasting, and Television cut off all VHF transmitters and the majority of FM transmitters of NRCU. According to NRCU CEO Taras Avrakhov, the funds allocated to NRCU for programs in 2013 were enough only for the work of 32 FM transmitters.
