National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council issued warning to UBR channel for terrorists’ sound bit on air

On July 17, on its session the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council issued a warning to the LLC «ES Production group» (the UBR TV channel, which is a part of Ihor Huzhva’s holding «Multimedia invest group») for airing sound bites from the terrorists – Ihor Girkin, Pavel Gubarev, Valeriy Bolotov, Aleksander Khodakovsky and others. According to the results of the National Council’s official monitoring, the total time of these sound bites within the monitored 24-hour period spanned more 11 hours in 131 news stories. These sound bites presented the terrorists’ calls to take up arms.

This constitutes a violation of the Ukrainian legislations and the TV channel was told to remedy the situation.
