National Council will inspect "Radio Vesti" because of Azarov’s interview

29.04.2016, 23:46

On April 28, the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine appointed an unscheduled inspection to “Radio Vesti”, and namely to the LLC “TRC “Dyvosvit”, which owns a license for broadcasting with the call signal “Radio Vesti” in Kyiv, “Detector Media” reports.

The grounds for the inspection were the results of the monitoring of the broadcast on April 15, when from 8:03p.m. to 9:03 p.m. “Radio Vesti” in the program “Postfactum” was broadcasting an interview  with the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.

The National Council sees in Azarov’s  words separatism, infringement against territorial integrity of Ukraine, and rousing interethnic hatred, to quote: “I believe that this [ATO] retribution operation against the population of Donbas, which did not accept the armed coup d’etat in the capital of Ukraine, in Kiev.”
