National Council warned Kyiv "Radio Vesti" for inability to recover Portnov's interview

13.02.2015, 22:39

The National Council for the issues of TV and Radio Broadcasting warned the Kyiv-based radio station «Radio Vesti » (LLC «TRC Dyvosvit») «for obstruction to the National Council in implementing its controlling and supervisory powers». Such resolution was approved at the session as of February 12, because it was unable to get from «Radio Vesti» a record of its broadcasting as of December 16, including an interview with the former vice chief of the Presidential Administration, Andriy Portnov. The channel's audience filed complaints to the Council about this interview, complaining about elements of instigating ethnic hatred it contained. According to the "Vesti" administration, the interview's record was not preserved.
