National Council to inspect TV and Radio company "Ukraina" because of TV series positively portraying pro-Russian separatists

19.04.2016, 14:25

The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine at its session on April 21 will assign an unscheduled inspection at the TV and Radio company “Ukraina”. The head of the National Council Yuriy Artemenko informed about this.

The unscheduled inspection is due to the scandal that exploded in the social networks in relation to one of the TV series produced by the channel – “Forswear not”. According to some viewers, the series promotes a positive image for pro-Russian separatists and Russian hybrid war troops in Donbas, and Ukrainian soldiers are branded "fascists" and "bloody junta". The National Council intends to check if the allegations hold any truth.
