National council fines 261 broadcasters for non-disclosure of their ownership structure
The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council assigned fines to 261 license holders due to violation of the legislation requirement concerning filing their information on ownership structure to the regulating agency. This resolution was approved by the National Council on June 3 at its unscheduled meeting, as the regulator's website informs.
The deadline for filing the report for the previous (reporting) year of activities is March 31.
Failure to file the ownership structure description or filing information that does not correspond to the actual state of affairs results in a fine in the amount of 5% from the total license fee for all licenses in default.
The smallest fine applied was UAH 0.03., the largest – UAH 43,200.00. The total amount of the fines, according to the preliminary calculations – about 438 thousand hryvnias.
