Attorney sues LB.ua demanding to refute their publication

Attorney Rostyslav Kravets sues media outlet LB.ua and its journalist, vice-editor-in-chief Viktoria Herasymchuk, as the website of the media outlet informs.

Kravets demands to refute some phrases from Herasymchuk's article published on December 17, 2015, “I need such judges myself”: "Behind my back, other attorney whispered - as I clarified later, it was the defender of judge Volodymyr Buhel, Rostyslav Kravets. He was sniffing time and time again, commenting shortly on intellectual capacity of the members of Supreme Council of Justice (by the way, this year Rostyslav wanted to become the member of this Council but failed - LB.ua)”.

And also the phrase “...- So what, you shit yourselves?! - spitefully hissed attorney Kravets behind my back", although in this phrase his last name was removed by the editorial office on his request.

The media outlet reminded that the material is about the Supreme Council of Justice attempting to force resignation of several judges who were arresting activists during the Maidan. In particular, the issue considered was firing judges Volodymyr Buhel, Svitlana Haiduk and Natalia Hrynkovska, who judged to detain for two months the people taken at Bankova street. Herasymchuk was covering the event, and her material was about the fact that none of the judges was punished, and all of them continue to work.

One of the judges mentioned in the article - Valentyna Malynovska - will judge the case of Kravets vs. LB.ua.
