Mykolaiv journalist starts a podcast about the war's impact on the environment
Mykolaiv journalist and eco-enthusiast Olena Horyacheva started her own podcast called "I Care: War and Ecocide" to discuss the impact of armed conflicts on the environment with experts, reports the IMI representative in Mykolaiv oblast.
"Take a closer look at the events in Ukraine with us. War destroys the environment, poisons water bodies and the air, kills entire populations of animals and plants. Author and leading journalist Olena Horyacheva discusses the impact of war on the environment with expert guests. Subscribe for new ecocide revelations and tips on how to defend yourself and what you can do for nature and the future generations," reads the podcast description.
In her program, the author discusses the war's impact on rivers, seas, the soil, as well as problems related to crushed missiles, mined steppes, and destroyed nature reserves.
The podcast is available on Spotify and SoundCloud. To date, two episodes have already been released: "The Black Sea" and "Snihurivka Waters". The journalist says that new episodes would be released every Thursday.
