MP Vlasenko claims he did not give interviews to UNIAN

12.02.2013, 02:50
Oppositional MP Serhiy Vlasenko claims that some media outlets published Feb. 11 a fake interview with him, in which he allegedly talks about his fear of being poisoned and that the Security Service of Ukraine is tracking them in costumes of cartoon bears.

Vlasenko said this in the evening on February 11, near the entrance of the Central Clinical Hospital of Ukrzaliznytsia in Kharkiv, Ukrainian News reported.

"This is nonsense, from the first to the last word, I never even said that ... This is a pure and disgusting provocation," - he said, responding to questions from reporters.

Vlasenko said that he never gave any interview to UNIAN news agency, and was shocked to see the publication of the fake information there.

"The information that was today handed over by a number of agencies - I saw it on Ukrayinska Pravda, with a reference to UNIAN. I never gave this interview to UNIAN, I do not know the author and initiator of this" - he said.

On February 11, media published an interview of Vlasenko, in which he allegedly said that after several attempts to poison him, he now uses only homemade food, and intends to hire a personal guard of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

According to the publication, the politician also said that, around his house, there appeared SBU employees in costumes of cartoon bears, and spy on him under the guise of distributing promotional products.
