MP sues Chernihiv TV channel

People's Deputy (MP) of Ukraine Valeriy Davydenko filed a court claim against LLC «TV and Radio Organization «LIGA», which is the owner of the Chernihiv TV channel «Dytynets». This information was given in Davydenko's Facebook entry, Cheline reports. The MP accuses the Chernihiv-based media outlet in disseminating invalid information (as he put it, "open lies and defamation"). The information in question is that Davydenko's assistant indirectly owns or controls some facilities in the city and on the bank of the river Desna. It was made public on July 18 by Chernihiv mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko during a city council session. Davydenko wants the media outlet to publicly refute this information.
