18.05.2017, 18:10

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine refrained from providing information to the request from “Ukrayinski Novyny” on when in 2016-2017 the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov took vacation and he plans to take his annual scheduled paid vacations. This was reported by “Dostup do Pravdy” with reference to “Ukrayinski Novyny”.

In its response, MIA said that information about when Avakov plans to take his vacation and when he was on vacation can posit danger to his safety.

“Taking into account the ongoing anti-terrorist operation and existent dangers to lives and health of the government members, including the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which are corroborated by claims in media outlets of the Russian Federation, we refrain from providing information about planning and taking vacations by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Borysovych Avakov”, the response from the Ministry reads.

At the same time, “Ukrayinski Novyny” point out that even in December of 2016, MIA responded the requests about Arsen Avakov’s vacations.
