Medvedchuk sues Kipiani demanding to ban his book on Vasyl Stus

Viktor Medvedchuk, oligarch and MP from “Opposition Platform - For Life”, sues the journalist and historian Vakhtang Kipiani, demanding to ban his book "The Case of Vasyl Stus". Kipiani told it on his Facebook page, as Ukrinform reported.
“Putin’s compadre and ally, Viktor Medvedchuk, has sued me to protect his “ honor ”,“ dignity ”and“ business reputation ”and to “refute untruthful information” [my quotes]. It is question of some fragments from the book " Vasyl Stus’s case", which we published together with the publishing house Vivat (co-defendant in this case),"as Kipiani wrote.
According to him, Medvedchuk demanded to ban distribution (sale) of copies of that book in any form and in any territory.
Kipiani added that the first hearing in the case would be held in Darnytskyi court on October 2.
“Vasil Stus's case” was published in 2019. The book contains documents from the archives of the former KGB of the USSR about high-profile proceedings against the poet. The book contains archival documents on Stus's criminal case, witnesses’ statements, author’s letters from jail, memoirs of his family and friends.
Viktor Medvedchuk was defense counsel of Stus at the timeof his second arrest in 1980.
