Mayor of Dubno wants to allow to sessions of town council only accredited journalists with special IDs

10.02.2015, 21:28

Sessions of Dubno town council (Rivnenska oblast) might be soon restricted for journalists except those specially accredited and having official registration with professional mass media. This was the proposal by the town mayor Vasyl Antoniuk last week at the session of the town council, the online media outlet “ERVE.UA” informs.

It was a preliminary proposal, yet none of the deputies said anything against it.

The online media outlet «ERVE.UA» reminds that according to the Law of Ukraine «On access to public information», sessions of a town / city council is an open one, and any citizen of the country has a right to be present there.
